Elizabeth Neef is the Principal of Kelowna Human Resources and a member of the Southern Interior Human Resources Management Association. She has designed and delivered HR services and career consulting to all levels of personnel, from the front-line to the executive suite for over 20 years. She has been actively involved in the community and has held various board appointments in the not-for-profit sector.
Shawna Quinn, B.A./C.R.S.
Shawna Quinn is an HR professional and Certified Resume Strategist with a strong background in business and the education sector, with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary and TESOL certification.
She has been involved in HR in a variety of industries – including the development of HR policies and practices for new small businesses – and is acutely aware of the value of human capital for the success of a business. She has experience in Career Transition and Outplacement support, with a focus on providing sensitive and responsive expertise in assisting individuals move through career change with confidence. As an HR professional, Shawna’s strengths lie in her intuitive communication skills, excelling in areas of conflict resolution and mediation. As an Employment Coach, she recognizes that communicating an individual’s assets effectively is vital to matching people and organizations that allow them both to thrive.
Shawna has taught internationally, as well as written curriculum for students both at home and abroad. As a writer, Shawna has worked for private ESL institutions, publishing textbooks for language learning and personal growth. She is the author of a young adult novel and has managed blogs for a variety of businesses. She has worked with a local winery, a professional photographer, and an online tourism website, helping to manage their social media and marketing campaigns. Shawna has also produced copy for websites, brochures and media kits, and has advised small businesses on effective strategies for promotion and increasing visibility.

Dean is a highly skilled Business Development Executive with more than 25 years of experience in transportation, construction, mining and service industries.

Ronald Neef, J.D.
As Legal Analyst at Larchmont Consulting Group, Ronald Neef is a dynamic business professional possessing an extensive set of skills gained from 30 years of experience as a businessman and lawyer in the United States and Canada. A “recovering lawyer”, he has served as a regional vice-president for a risk management/cost-control company as well as corporate human resources director for a multi-state retail gift store chain.
The diverse nature of his professional career enables him to bring wide-ranging expertise and an uncanny sense of issue identification to his work. Having represented both workers and employers at various stages of his career, Mr. Neef has the ability to see a problem from all sides, a must for developing an effective solution or generating a compromise acceptable to all parties.
Ronald provides consulting services to employers on matters of labor and employment law including “hiring and firing”, discrimination issues, workers’ compensation and unemployment claims as well as other personnel and human resources concerns. He has developed and written countless employment manuals/personnel policies, created and published client-specific newsletters, and conducted HR/employment workshops and seminars tailored to the specific needs of his clients. He provides on-call information and advice about labour, employment and personnel issues. Having represented clients in well over one thousand administrative hearings, he also provides administrative law advocacy expertise and litigation support.
